Car Aircon Evaporator Clean or Replace HAA Rockhampton

A Car Aircon Evaporator is where the cold air originates and needs to be clean to enable maximum airflow. Sadly, aircon evaporators are prone to bacteria growth.

The role of the car air conditioner evaporator in your A/C system is to evaporate refrigerant liquid to a gas, and in doing so actually removes heat from the air and delivers cold but not always clean air. The aircon evaporator should be cleaned as required.

The car air conditioner evaporator in your A/C system is to evaporate refrigerant liquid to a gas, and in doing so actually removes heat from the air flowing through it which is what gives us that crisp cool air inside the cabin.

As A/C systems are made smaller and more efficient, so are their components. One of the components that has undergone a major size reduction over the years is the evaporator, located under the dashboard. This component is much like a radiator in design and is responsible for removing the heat and moisture from the cabin air.

Car air-conditioner evaporators can leak due to internal and external corrosion, and in this event, they must be replaced. This type of repair can take anywhere from an hour or two, right up to ten hours, depending on the type of car and whether or not the dash needs to be removed to access the evaporator. Regular maintenance will usually extend the life of your evaporator.

What our customers have to say about us:

The following are some comments from our customers.

Recently had my Mazda air con fixed, it cost half the price of what the dealer quoted and was done the same day, same day service was very important as I need my car for my business. Great Customer service and a better price! Got referred by friends and happy I did.

Great Customer service and an even better price!

- Ellen Kawana

Fantastic business and a pleasure to deal with. AC system on my ’08 Golf was failing and after attempts at replacing valves, gaskets and recharges from other workshops, it was still not cooling. Highway Auto identified the problem immediately and quoted me on repairs. Luckily the vehicle was still covered under an extended warranty policy, and Steve (who is knowledgeable, helpful and polite) dealt with the insurance company directly to have the vehicle’s entire AC system replaced.
